This piece, A Short History of Cities, is by artist, Susan Logoreci. Using color pencil she creates aerial views of fragmented urban scenes. Each piece appears like a Sim City replication that is slowly being erased or imploded upon itself. These snap-shots of dense, overbuilt cities like New York and London are contrasted by an overwhelming sense of emptiness to the point of being post-apocalyptic. Lorgoreci has created a series of work that makes you question the permanence of our material world.
